What We Do
Voxofon is a fast-growing OTT provider offering free and low-cost voice and messaging services to and from any device. It bridges the gap between the “new” world of smartphones and the “old” world of feature phones by leveraging its unique, IP-based communications platform, including smartphone, tablet, and web apps.
Voxofon History
Voxofon has a solid track record of consistent innovation with early introductions of its products for the latest platforms and devices. The company was one of the first to enter the smartphone market with VoIP apps when it launched a web-based app for iPhone in Summer 2008. In September of that same year, Voxofon was the first to provide a VoIP app for the Android platform – offering transparent cost optimization for international calls. It followed suit with an identical app for BlackBerry smartphones in January of 2009, and later that year for HP’s Palm WebOS platform. In October 2010, the Voxofon app was further developed for the launch of Windows Phone 7.
Since then, Voxofon has consistently released new features and versions on each of these platforms – making its products faster and easier to use. In 2012 Voxofon developed Bridge Messaging technology, providing extensive chat features for smartphone to non-smartphone messaging. It also improved its smartphone-to-smartphone messaging, which now allows Voxofon users to chat for free. The new messaging technology is currently available in Voxofon apps for Android, iPhone, and Windows Phone 7.
Customer satisfaction is very important to Voxofon. To ensure an unparalleled user experience it gives high priority to its support infrastructure. In February 2011 it expanded its support capabilities with a new call center, with support agents fluent in English, Spanish, Norwegian and Russian.
